Hello friends!!

I apologize for my several week hiatis. I have officially moved to Cleveland and began working at Vera Bradley. I am definitely enjoying spending more time with the boyfriend. More “work wear” pictures to come.

This day I channelled my preppy side, pairing a white button down with an open navy cardigan and khaki linen pants. I really love this outfit. I felt sophisticated and more professional. Sometimes I feel as though I don’t dress for my age, and this ensemble made me feel more mature. I also added one of my favorite accessories, my Coach leopard print infinity scarf :)

Well Tumblr friends, I am about to move out of my childhood home and town to a lovely suburb of Cleveland. Yes all you crazy Steeler fans, I said Cleveland. No I will not root for the Browns so don’t shun me (I honestly don’t root for the Steelers either, I’m a college football girl). So I may not be posting much, not that I have been proactive with my posts anyway, but just wanted to give a heads up.

I will post pictures eventually of my beautiful closet my wonderful boyfriend renovated for me and of my new job at Vera Bradley.

Moving 22 years worth of stuff is difficult, deciding what to bring or leave behind is even harder. It will be 2 weeks worth of stress. Ugh.

My dad bought me this necklace and a bracelet (not shown) from Stella & Dot.

I thought this marketing was beautiful and creative. Most jewlery comes is a plain boring box, but not Stella & Dot products, each product comes in a slightly different patterned box. I couldn’t help but share. These boxes didn’t even need to be wrapped for Christmas, they were pretty enough on their own.

I am truly sorry for the lack of posts and unkept promises. It is difficult to find a photographer living at home with my parents. My best friend, roomate and overall partner in day to day activities doesn’t live with me at home, thus the lack of photos. I won’t make any more promises I can’t keep, but I will TRY to take photos of my recent fashion choices.

Sorry I have been MIA for the past month. But now that Christmas and New Years and all the retail craziness is behind me, I am back!

I haven’t worked on my laptop in a long, long, time. I received an iPad as Christmas/graduation present and haven’t had the need for my Mac. My boyfriend thinks I need to buy a new computer and scrap this one, but I physically can’t imagine my life without my little black, 13 inch macbook. Mac has been with me since Christmas of my senior year in high school. He has officially become 4 years old over this holiday season and has been a huge part of my life. Mac was my life line at Juniata when I needed to skype the boyfriend or my parents. He gave me happiness when no one else could. Some of those days were quite dark, but Mac got me through it with good music, webcam and widgets. I will never part with Mac. I have purchased a hard drive in which I have put most of my pictures and old school stuff on to clear up some space in Mac so he doesn’t run so sluggish. I’m trying to help him out, but I fear the worst is near. I think, however, when he does leave me for computer heaven, I will keep him as a memento of my college years and all the good hard work he helped me accomplish.

Now on to what this blog is really about, fashion.

As you know, I work at The Limited. So for the holidays I had to purchase new clothes to wear to work. However we have been having a stellar sale and I have picked up some amazing deals. Like this tank blouse that is winter white with flecks of gold and a ruffle down the front, retailed around $50, bought it on sale for $10!!! I was sooo pumped.

Sweaters are in, in, in. I am a huge fan of the “grandma” sweaters. I bought two from the Limited, one is an eyelet sweater in oatmeal that looks vaguely like lace and the other is an open cardigan with large loop knit stitches, also in an oatmeal color. They are tre cute.

I also received some new jewels for Christmas. Surprisingly, picked out by my dad :)

The End of an Era

Tonight is my last night in 704. The last time I will crawl into bed knowing that my best friend Katie is 6 feet away from me snoozing in her twin XL. The last time I’ll eat an entire pizza with Mia in our living room. The last time I’ll type in my code to get into the room or in the building. Last time I’ll fall asleep and wake up to sirens from the Blvd. Last time I’ll see my best friends for a little while…

I don’t usually get teary about things like this, but it truly is the end of an era. 704 has served us well and I hope its new tenants appreciate and love it as much as we have. Man if only these walls could talk. Many good memories within these walls and quite a few bad ones. From our various nicknames such as the Cave, the island and pestering Kippy and Tucky changing the thermostat..a lot of laughter has happened in this little apartment.

I know we will all move on to bigger and better things and begin our new lives as post-collegiate adults, but it will be difficult not being with one another everyday.
